Private Lockett, 33 Swinton Road, Mexborough, died of wounds on December 1 in France.

He was single, aged 21, and enlisted in October 1950, previously been employed at Denaby Main.

His brother private GA Lockett (K.I.I.) is serving in France, and another brother, Bugler W Lockett, was captured by the Germans during the Retreat from Mons.
