Gunner Adams, a member of a well-known Mexboro’ family, and son of the late Mr. Adams, for a number of years superintendent in the Mexboro’ district for the Refuge Assuranck Co., has died of wounds received in action in’ France on December 1st.

He was aged 27, married, and his wife lives at Warmsworth. He enlisted in August, 1916, and went to France last June.

He was very fond of cricket and played regularly with the Mexborough second eleven. Before enlistment he was a clerk on the staff of the Yorkshire Main Colliery.
