Private Pashley, son of the late Arthur Pashley, Royal Oak Terrace, Church Street, Mexborough, was wounded in the head on August 22 and is now in hospital in Devonport, making favourable progress.
He has been serving in France a year and seven months.
Before enlistment he was a miner employed at Manvers Main.
