Private Joseph Frederick Long

Before enlistment last January he was in business in Main Street as a greengrocer, and was wounded on June 7 in the battle of Messines.

His wife has received a letter from him, written in hospital in France on June 9, stating that he was wounded in the temple by shrapnel, and is making good progress.

Private Long is 35, married, and has one child. He has been in France about two months.
