Corporal A Mosley

Mr Walter Mosley of 180 Wath Rd, Mexborough has received the following letter concerning his son:

“By now you will have received official notification that your son, Cpl Alfred Mosley is missing, and I am afraid I can all have very little hope of him being alive. But then there is the chance that he may be wounded and taken prisoner.
He was a Cpl in my platoon, and he was as good a NCO as he was a soldier.”

Cpl Mosley was 23, and was serving with the York and Lancaster.
