Wedding – Hill & Thrustle

At Mexborough Parish Church on Monday the wedding took place of Miss Dorothea Audrey Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Hill, 5, York Street, Mexborough, and Mr. Harry Thrustle, son of Mr. and the late Mrs. H. Thrustle, 77, Schofield Street. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Raymond G. Hill, wore a dress of silver lace and georgette and carried carnations.

The bridesmaids were Miss L. Hill and Miss E. Kitchen and they were attired in floral silk with navy blue silk crinoline hats and carried red carnations. Two attendants were Misses Ruth Hill and Marjorie Dimberline who wore peach coloured satin dresses and carried bouquets of sweet peas.

The best man was Mr. George Shenton, and Mr. Frank Hurrell was the groomsman. A reception was held at the bride’s home, after which the couple left for Bridlington.
