Stanley Peake, miner, Conisborough Parks, was fined 10s. at Doncaster on Saturday for keeping a dog without a licence.
At Barnsley on Wednesday Joseph A. Smith, Mexborough, was fined 15s. for driving a motor vehicle without licence. On a similar charge Christopher Worth, café assistant, Mexborough, was ordered to pay costs.
For driving motor vehicles without licences, the following were fined at Barnsley on Wednesday: Wordsworth Dronfield, engineer, Thurgoland, 20s.; John Lindsey, Hemsworth, 10s. For failing to sign his driving licence Charles C. Crowe, miner, Wombwell, was fined 5s.
Lily and Annie Bailey, both of Mexborough, were each fined 20s. at Doncaster on Tuesday for gaming at “wheel ’em in” at Conisborough on March 30th.
Ellen Williams and Emma Davies, married, of Thurnscoe, were bound over and ordered to each pay costs for a breach of the peace.
For conducting a lottery with a dartboard, for chocolates, at Conisborough on March 30th, Thomas McGuire, of Hexthorpe, was fined 20s.
Frederick Chapman, of Conisborough, was fined a total of 40s. for riding a motor cycle without driving licence, proper pillion seat, and third party insurance.
A Denaby miner, Edward Moss, was fined 15s. for riding a cycle without front or rear lights at High Melton.
For not having a front light on a motor combination and a driving licence, a Thurnscoe dairyman, George Green, was fined 22s., and Thomas Hill, bricklayer, Conisborough, 5s. for not having signed a driving licence.
Two Conisborough lads were each fined 10s. for discharging stones from a catapult.
