Police Enquiries Continue

Pole Found in Street

Enquiries are still being made by Mexborough Police after a pole was found lying seriously injured in Hartley Street, Mexborough, on Christmas Eve. He was suffering from an injury to the head and was unconscious.

He was taken to Mexborough Montagu Hospital but later transferred to Sheffield Infirmary, where an operation was performed. His condition was stated yesterday to be “improving.”

It was not until late Christmas Day that the man was identified.
