Joseph and Daniel Hawthorn, father and son, both puddlers, living at Mexbro’, were charged with unlawfully taking fish at Denaby, on the 24th May.
Mr. Taylor prosecuted, and Mr. Gee, of Sheffield, appeared for the defence.

When he went to their house afterward, the latter admitted, in the presence of a police-constable, that he had done wrong in getting fish at this place.
The elder defendant was fined 20s. and costs, and the younger one 10s. and costs.
