Inquest at Mexbro’.
An inquest was held at the South Yorkshire Hotel, Mexbro’, on Tuesday morning before D. Wightman, Esq., coroner, touching the death of Henry Thornley, cabinet maker, of Swinton road, Mexbro’, whose body was found in the canal near Swinton Bridge, on Saturday morning last.
Deceased was of a quiet, retiring disposition, and of late had been more quiet even than usual.
The jury re turned a verdict of ” Found drowned, but as to how there is no evidence to show. “
