A Mexborough Beauty Contest 

A beauty contest in progress at the Mexborough Olympia carnival on Bank Holiday. 

The winner was Miss Lily Haldenby, extreme left of the picture.

The young men sportingly offered themselves as candidates in an ugliness contest, but none of them was really worth a prize.
