News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Swingler of 33, Hampden Road, Mexborough, that their son, Sergeant Derrick Swingler R.A.F., previously reported missing, lost his life in air operations over Germany on the night of March 20th-21st 1945.

Six men are known to have been killed, 5 are buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, but Flt. Sgt. Swingler is buried at Hotton War Cemetery, suggesting his body was recovered by the American authorities.
