Killed In Middle East.

Mrs. Charlesworth, 25, Dryden Road, Mexborough, has learned that her husband, Cpl. Henry Charlesworth (25), K.0.Y.L11, was accidentally killed in the Middle East on April 1st.

Cpl. Charlesworth was the son of the late Mr. H. Charlesworth and Mrs Thompson, of Mexborough.

He had been in the Army for three years, and before that was a stoneman at Denaby Colliery.

Nearly a year ago he sailed for India and saw service in Iraq before going to the Middle East.

Cpl. Charlesworth was well known in athletic circles in and around Mexborough and had won many prizes for running. His father was killed during the last war.
