A Farmer’s Funeral
This unusual funeral cortege was photographed by our staff photographer last week. The farm horse and dray bore Mr. John Sutton , formerly of Manor Farm to his last resting place, while “Barney,” his dog took this last walk with his master.
The death of Mr. Sutton ended a family farming connection with Mexborough, of 125 years.
A memorial service for Mr. Sutton is to be held at Mexborough Parish Church on Sunday evening.
