Silence Broken

After having received no news for over 12 weeks from her husband, Guardsman Stanley Moore (33) who is a prisoner of war in Germany, Mrs. R. Moore of 70 Chaucer Road, Mexboro’ was glad to see this week a postcard written to one of his colleagues at the “South Yorkshire Times” printing works where he was employed before joining up.

Guardsman Moore joined the Army in 1940 and went overseas in 1941, being on active service in the Middle East until his capture at Tobruk in 1942 and was sent to a camp in Italy Not long ago he was transferred to Stalag 4F.

He has two sons aged 10 and 6.
