Cousins Meet In India

Two Mexborough cousins, Spr. William Alfred Stephenson, (29), R.E., only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Archer, 52, Windhill Crescent, Mexborough, and James Arthur Stephenson, (26), only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Stephenson of 11, Genoa Street, Mexborough, have met in a convalescent camp in India.

Both have been in India for three years but have not met there before.

William Alfred Stephenson has been in the Forces since June 12th, 1939, and previously worked at Barnburgh Main Colliery.  A short time ago he was presented with Oak Leaves as a result of his being mentioned in dispatches at Dunkirk, where he blew up a bridge in less than ten seconds.
