Missing

News has been received by Mrs. Bradder, 64, Main Street, Mexborough, that her son L/Cpl. J. Sherwood, is missing and believed to be a prisoner in Burma, where he was fighting with the Chindits.

He is married and his wife lives at 12, Chapel Street, Mexborough.

They have one son.  L/Cpl. Sherwood joined the Forces in 1939 and was serving in the R.A.

Before joining up he worked at Manvers Main Colliery
