Killed In Action

Pte. Sidney Webb (19), youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. W. Webb, 91, Windhill Crescent, Mexborough, was killed in action in the South of Europe on June 12th, according to official information received by his mother.

Pte. Webb had been with the Forces for 13 months and had been abroad only a short time.

Since leaving Adwick Road Modern School he had been employed as a window cleaner in Mexborough.

His brother, Pte. Reginald Webb (33) has been in the Army for three years.
