Prisoner Of War

News was received from the War Office on Wednesday by Mrs. J. C. Lee, 24, Queen’s Terrace, Mexborough, that her husband, Gunner J. C. Lee, who was reported missing in the Middle East two months ago, is now a prisoner of war.

The War Office letter states that his camp address is unknown. Gunner Lee, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Lee, of Woodhouse, formerly of Mexborough, joined the R.A. in July, 1940, and was drafted overseas in January last’ year.

He was employed as a clerk by the Amalgamated Denaby Colliery Co. before joining up.
