Mexborough Man’s Appointment
Mr. Harry Mosley, of 56a Adwick Road, Mexborough, employed for the last nine years as head storekeeper at Hemsworth Colliery has been promoted to Area Stores Superintendent in No. 6 (Carlton) area of the N.C.B.
Mr. Mosley, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Mosley of 48, Alexandra Road, Mexborough was born in Sheffield and came to Mexborough in 1927. He is 38. He was educated at Adwick Road School Mexborough and has had posts at Queen’s Foundry, Swinton and Wombwell, Denaby and Cadeby collieries. During the war he was a Special Constable, and he holds a long service medal.
He is married and has a six-years-old daughter. His wife is a well-known local hairdresser and his father is Manager of Messrs. J. Whitaker and Co. Ltd., of Bank Street, Mexborough.
