Miss Betty Smith, of Mexborough, and Mr Norman Linton, of Doncaster, who were married at Caxton Hall Registry Office, Westminster on Saturday.

Miss Smith is younger daughter of Mr and Mrs. Frank Smith, 62, Bank Street, Mexborough, and principal of dancing schools at Mexborough and Doncaster; Mr. Linton is son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Linton, “Kingsway,” Town Moor Avenue, Doncaster, and a member of the surveying staff at Manvers Main Colliery.

His father was formerly agent and manager at Barnburgh Main Colliery, and is now general manager of Lloyds Perran Ironworks, Newquay, Cornwall.

Miss Smith wore an ensemble of blush pink with a threequarter length coat and revers of dyed fox fur with hat of Paris straw. She was attended by Miss Margaret Linton, of Surrey. A reception was held at the Regent Palace Hotel.
