Mrs. Florence Bailey, of the Miners’ Arms, Mexborough, took a licensed house training course because she believes that a licensee’s wife should be fully qualified to help her husband.
She passed the examination, and now has a diploma to hang in the bar. It was presented to her, with his congratulations, by Mr. G. Vernon Parker, managing director of Bass Charrington (North), as Chairman of the Yorkshire District of the National Trade Development Association, which arranged the course at Rotherham.
