A Family Group of Soldiers

In the group below appear Sergeant Wllson, Baldwin,  Highwoods road, Wath road, Mexboro’, his three soldier sons, and a son-in law who has now been discharged.

Sergeant Baldwin, who is well over 50, joined the, R.A.M.C. in 1915, being at that time a leading member of the local ambulance organization. He went out to the East on the ill-fated Royal Edward, survived the dis4ster, and subsequently served over two years with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. He is now stationed at Blackpool.

On his left in the photograph is his youngest son, Signaller Fred. Baldwin (Northumberland Fusiliers), who was wounded some time ago; and on his right is his son-in-law, Pte. C. E. Chance, (York and Lancaster).

Behind are (left) Sergeant Leonard Baldwin (York and Lancaster) who has seen a great deal of active service and has been wounded; and (right) Lance Corporal Robert C. Baldwin (West Yorks.), formerly a deputy at the Manvers Main Colliery, who has just completed his training.
